A song about finding higher consciousness in intimate relationship.  The title refers to a Tibetan word literally meaning “Father/Mother” and often depicted in Tibetan sacred paintings and sculpture as male and female deities meditating while sitting upright in a front-to-front sexual embrace.

Music and Lyrics by Alicia Bay Laurel.  Vocal and acoustic guitar, Alicia Bay Laurel.  Guitar synthesizer by Mark Hewins.  Upright bass by Dwight Kilian.  Chimes, gongs, additional synthesized sounds, and mixing by Ron Grant.

The yabyum depicted is a detail from a 19th century Tibetan sacred painting (thangka).
